International Bee Day 2024. Fao is mandated to organize world bee day to serve as an annual reminder to the world about the importance of bees and other pollinators for food security and biodiversity. World bee day 2024 focused on the theme bee engaged with youth, highlighting the importance of involving young people in beekeeping and pollinator.

The purpose of the international day is to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators for the ecosystem. A cooperative and local groups train farmers in beekeeping and produce honey and derivatives, such as royal jelly, propolis and bee pollen.
